Ontological coaching is one of the most effective methodologies for transformation available today—both personal transformation and organizational transformation. Ontological coaching is a practice that facilitates the emergence of new possibilities in the personal and/or professional life of an individual (or group) by making him aware of his participation in the construction and co-creation of the reality he perceives. More simply put, ontological coaching addresses the concern for more effective action while also addressing the concerns of the human soul that are mostly left out of our learning practices today.
Here at The Coach Partnership, we teach a simple yet encompassing model for coaching, developed and refined by Newfield over the last three decades — Ontological Coaching. This approach to coaching transforms your worldview and capacity for action while teaching you to coach others for meaningful and sustainable change. The Coach Partnership’s Ontological Coach Training Programs are accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Consisting of two modules, spread across three, in-person conferences and are led by an international team of experienced, skilled facilitators and certified coaches. The modules are called “The Foundations in Ontological Learning Course” and “The Art and Practice of Ontological Mastery” (TAPOM) and are accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) at an ACTP level. Taken together, these two modules form The Newfield Coach Certification Program (Foundations plus TAPOM) that is delivered over a nine month period. Each participant is supported throughout the program by a senior Newfield Certified Coach.
The conferences produce a rich learning
context that helps you uncover ways of thinking, feeling and
moving. Conference activities include:
• Introduction and practice of the Newfield distinctions and
models
• Individual and group coaching sessions.
• Small and large group interactions.
• Experiential learning activities in the 3 domains of language,
emotions, and body (somatics).
• The Newfield program is recognized as the premier coach
training offer in Singapore and Asia. Our program coaches are
ICF certified (PCC or above) and are selected from our
world-wide network of experienced practitioners.
• Unlike most other training schools who offer one or maybe two
trainers, we offer a training team of five subject matter
experts from around the globe: USA, South America and UK.
• A senior, diverse and dynamic participant group.
• An active alumni network supported by follow up programs,
learning activities and coaching services.
Personal Leadership for Breakthrough Results
Our core, personal leadership program, Foundations, gives you
new insights and practices to be more effective in leading—in

meaning-filled, satisfying, and powerful life, consistent with

Coaching for Sustained Behavior Change
As you approach the completion of Foundations in Ontological
Learning, or if you have completed Foundations in the past, you
are eligible to continue to our second module – The Art and
Practice of Ontological Mastery (TAPOM). This is a program that
builds on Foundations and gives you the skills to coach others
using the Ontological model of coaching.
The Foundations course introduced you to the distinctions of
Ontological Learning but, in the most part, the Observer you
studied was yourself. In TAPOM, we start to learn how to support
others in the same way and the mechanism we use is coaching.
Many of our TAPOM participants are managers, leaders and
professionals who want to support those around them as they add
coaching to their repertoire. Mastery only occurs in the
application of learning. We truly embody our learning as we use
it in the service of others.
The standards of the program are in-line with the International
Coaching Federation’s (ICF) highest standards for a coaching
school (ACTP). Once you complete this module, you are eligible
for Newfield Coach Certification which opens the fast track door
to ICF accreditation.

Re-Immerse Yourself in Newfield’s Ontological
Learning
We offer our alumni an opportunity to re-immerse in our
programs. Many Newfield Graduates have expressed how much more
they learn the second time around. You may pick up on things you
didn’t realize from your first experience or leave more deeply
grounded in your field of practice. You can go deeper with the
Newfield distinctions in Conference 1 or 2 and / or go deeper in
their practice of coaching in Conference 3. All of the
conferences have developed over our years of delivery.
Graduates who have taken our programs have told us that they:

The experience has been “defining” for me in more ways than one. I would not trade this for anything on planet earth. The beauty of it all is that we are just beginning to explore, beginning to observe differently, beginning to accept and beginning to make a difference with a new way of being.

While my motivation was purely work related, the outcome became a total transformation in how I show up at work but also in my private life. I can warmly recommend the course to anyone who looks to do small adjustments in their life for a massive output.

An ontological coach is a skillful facilitator of learning that generates genuine transformation and more powerful and constructive ways of engaging with different aspects of life and work. With this coaching skill, I have improved on my interaction with peers, staff and senior management, and even facilitate the development of new leaders.

I found that the conversations I have with our leaders and the team have become very different, simply because the way I perceive situations is different. Post ontological coaching, I started to look at problems from other perspectives and new actions presented themselves. The outcomes of coaching in business is exponential.

It gave me more awareness about who I am as an individual. I saw the difference between mechanical coaching from just using language to coach somebody, but seeing how our language is connected with the emotions and with the body was very unique for me.

I expected to just learn how to coach but ended up with so much more... being set free from a crippling mindset to discovering a new passion in coaching and partnering others on their individual journeys to become the best version of themselves at their workplaces, homes and social settings.
