Jack has taken many forks in his life supported by a major fork when he shifted his career from designing and building buildings as an architect to designing, building and creating possibilities for others as a coach, consultant and leader.
In his professional life Jack first pursued creativity as an Architect, designing homes and buildings with spaces in which people might excel and create a better life. He later moved into leadership roles and found a passion in generating new possibilities for leaders, teams and organizations, while exploring with them new ways of being as leaders and shifting organizational cultures. He often states that he went from design physical spaces for human interaction to designing cultural spaces for human interaction and for a different conversation. Adding to his background as coach and organizational development consultant, in 1994 he began consulting in creativity and innovation with individuals and organizations. In 2010 he and his partner wrote the book Innovation and Creativity in Teams. He also served as the internal Senior Executive Coach and Organizational Development Consultant for the National Headquarters of the American Red Cross, the Smithsonian Institution, and the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Alex von Behr is an experienced global business leader, and now executive coach.
