Whether you are an executive coach or a business leader, your ability to bring a coaching approach to a team environment is essential for creating a culture of high performance, commitment, care and sustainability.
The ability to coach teams is becoming an increasing important element in today’s world. Asia team coach, you are working with the individual cares, concerns, habits, and blind spots of each team member as well as with the collective commitments, cares, habits and blind spots of the team. Beyond the skills and competencies required in individual coaching, there are additional skills, complexities and ethical concerns, as well as group and cultural nuances, that you must work with to ensure the team environment is ripe for success.
Working from an expanded ontological framework applicable to teams, and using the ICF team competencies as backdrop, you will learn how to surface and address beliefs, assumptions and moods that undermine team performance. You will learn how to powerfully intervene using a coach approach to address the concerns, breaks and triggers that inevitably occur.
You will be given access to The Team Conversation
Survey™, a survey tool with face-validity tailored
specifically for coaches and leaders of the ontological
discourse to assess and provide guidance to teams on missing and
needed conversations. The survey consists of a core of 72
behaviorally based statements and provides a comprehensive
picture of how well the team is performing and offers insight
into the critical improvement areas.
• Signs and signals of ineffective teams and how to intervene
• Navigating the tensions between individual cares and collective team commitments
• Building psychological safety and trust; applying the neuroscience of emotional resonance
• Surfacing and working with the moods of teams
• Engaging in embodied practices of a team
• The major differences between coaching individual and coaching teams
• Team Core Coaching Competencies
The Newfield Team Coaching Certification Program is for leaders
